Total Knee Replacement 
The Beginning Stage exercise booklet focuses on:

  • Increasing knee range of movement
  • Reducing Pain
  • Improving mobility
  • Improving strength

Everyone recovers from a knee replacement at different rates and pre-surgery fitness levels can vary significantly.  As a general guideline, once your incision has healed, we recommend starting with the beginning Stage for the first few months.

When you feel ready, you can move on to the Progressing Stage exercise booklet. This focuses on:
 
  • Building strength
  • Endurance
  • Return to activities
  • Building Confidence
  • Balance
